The purpose of the Silver Creek Cognitive Science Club is for students interested in learning more about the Cognitive Science field. As a growing field, it incorporates neuroscience, computer science, psychology, linguistics, as well as other fields! This year we plan on hosting in seminars on the various topics this field includes, as well as bringing in guest speakers (ex. students, professionals) to further expand our knowledge in the various fields. We will be offering volunteer hours to our members as well for attending meetings and seminars.
Computer Science Club
The CS Club is a club with interests in programming. We will teach the fundamentals of Java and Python, allow other members to teach, and to give competitive training as well. Knowing computer science provides many opportunities, so join!
DECA
DECA prepares high school students in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management by providing them with networking opportunities, business scenarios, and guest speakers from the business community at competitions in the U.S.

Girls Who Code
Join GWC to learn how to code! Don’t worry if you don’t have experience, we’ll be with you every step of the way. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and make friends! We’ll meet during lunch every other Tuesday, starting on September 15.
Math Club
Our purpose is to recognize and challenge students' mathematical intellect through competitions and other concepts.
M.E.S.A. (Math, Engineering, Science, Achievment)
MESA is a club dedicated to providing students with hands-on, engaging opportunities to explore the areas of math, science, and engineering. MESA strives to prepare and motivate students to successfully pursue college-preparatory coursework and careers in math and science through countless STEM related activities. MESA offers fun science and engineering projects to promote interest in STEM fields. Members can hang out during the weekly meetings and do different STEM activities with friends. On weekends, MESA members can actively take part in interactive workshops called STEM Academies which introduce members to the MESA projects. Throughout the year, members work on a variety of projects to compete in the annual MESA Day competition with other high schools in March from coding and debugging programs in Python 3 to building balsa wood bridges to hold weights and balsa wood gliders.
Model UN
Hey Raiders, Welcome to the 2020-2021 Model UN! Model U.N is a club that simulates a United Nation conference where members (known as the Model UN delegates) take on the role as UN ambassadors and delegates. A member of Model U.N will partake in a variety of tasks, such as researching, debating, and coming up with solutions with delegates of another country. In other words, it's a political debate, in need of solutions. You will be participating in conferences with other high schools in our county! Thank you for your interest in our club! NeuroMed- IYNA
NeuroMed is a club that actively promotes various aspect of neuroscience. Some topics we are looking to cover include surgery, mental health, brain diseases, biopsychology and molecular neuroscience!
Along with lectures, we plan on doing interactive labs about understanding the brain and its processes, as well as practice scenarios to identifying diseases (possible cash prize!). NeuroMed also will be aiming to connect students with guest speakers and professionals in the neuroscience field so that they can understand the process to becoming involved with this subject. We'll also be holding volunteer events, (with hours!) like fundraisers, for causes like Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Parkinson's!

Pre-Law Club
Pre-Law is a brand new educational club at Silver Creek. Our main purpose is to make sure that you are making the most informed decisions going into college and beyond. To do this we will be hosting informational lectures and panels with lawyers who do this every day! Beyond that, we aim to take the most input from our members to ensure that they are getting what they hope to from the club. So, if you are passionate about this field or are simply curious we encourage you to join!
Robotics Club
In Robotics Club, we design, build, and program a robot for the FIRST Tech Challenge, providing a hands-on engineering experience and falicitating collaboration and community outreach. We aim to build skills essential to future careers in STEM fields.
Science Olympiad
Are you interested in learning more about Science, Technology, and Engineering? Come be a part of Silver Creek’s Science Olympiad Club! The Science Olympiad is a nationwide competition. Students have an option to explore 23 different events that include earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Science Olympiad is designed to increase a student’s interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. Students compete in the Science Olympiad with the top teams advancing from Regional to State to National levels.This year, the competition will be virtual, so if you want to participate in STEM based events, join our club!
